Service robots are old hat? When have you ever met one?

Live events thrive on the experience factor. A service robot does an excellent job here. Just teach him organic interaction capability with his human counterpart. We put what is probably the best-known humanoid service robot, Pepper from SoftBank Robotics, into practice. And he did really well.

Pepper. Humanoid service robot. Speaks and understands German and English. Converses with his counterpart. Answers questions. Provides information. Asks questions. Supports input and address using a built-in, touch-enabled tablet computer. Pepper is equipped with two HD cameras, four microphones, a 3D distance sensor, laser scanners, bumper sensors, gyro sensors, actuators, and all kinds of other technical components.
